War Correspondent on Breast Cancer

On account of the 10th anniversary of Samsung's collaboration with FECMA (Spanish Federation of Breast Cancer) we developed a photographic project to recognize and give support to the commitment and hard work of all the patients, doctors and familiars fighting breast cancer. 'War Correspondents on Breast Cancer' is a work created through the camera lens of the Spanish war photojournalist Manu Brabo (2013 Pulitzer-Prize). All the pictures were captured from the eyes of someone who has lived through dozens of battles around the world and portraits with his vision of a war that is happening close to us everyday.

Directed by Borja Larrondo, produced by Lobo Kane.

The documentary was filmed across 4 months where the director and war correspondent traveled the whole country talking with patients and familiars of this war.

The campaign included 43 photographs, a 13 minute documentary, a 160 pages book and a box with all the report divided in 4 archive files sent from "war" to the most important journalist in Spain. It was all launched in a 4 days free exhibition in a gallery located in the cultural heart of Madrid and moved across the country inside the Caixa Forum expo program.

Samsung donated 1€ to FECMA for every view of the documentary, achieving the goal of 100.000€ in less than one month with a 13 minute content.
